Group to acknowledge National Gun Violence Awareness Day and tip-off Wear Orange WeekendFor the second successive season in collaboration with Everytown for Weapon Security and the Arizona phase of volunteer-led Mothers Need Action, the three-time WNBA Champion Phoenix Mercury will commit Friday's home video game to raising recognition for gun safety. Much like a period earlier, the Mercury are working together with Everytown for Weapon Safety and security, a national nonprofit established in 2013 that promotes for an end to weapon physical violence, and Moms Need Activity, a grassroots activity of Americans defending public safety and security actions to protect people from gun physical violence and elevate the stories of those impacted by it. The Friday night game will feature recognition of dozens of weapon physical violence survivors and hundreds of Moms Demand Action volunteers in presence, plus academic video clips and graphics, and offering followers with details and sources on exactly how to get Demand Activity Owner Shannon Watts will certainly receive the Mercury's Believe in Women Honor in a video clip presentation in-game. The recognition was introduced by the Mercury in 2019 to highlight superior ladies in sporting activities, business and philanthropy that are making an effect in their social media channels will magnify gun physical violence statistics in Arizona to increase awareness among fans unable to attend Friday night's game.
